Names Not Numbers

The eighth grade undertakes a unique project of studying the Holocaust in an age-appropriate manner. They discuss the concepts of anti-semitism and propaganda.  They continue to discuss certain aspects of the Holocaust itself, as well as the Resistance and the righteous Gentiles.  Resilience and  the aftermath of the Holocaust are also discussed. The students visit the Holocaust Museum in Miami and hear testimony from a survivor. The eighth graders participate in the Names, Not Numbers© Holocaust Documentary project, through which they will meet and interview survivors and create an original documentary based on the memories of the survivors.
