Mrs. Tobi Wolf began her career at Sha’arei Bina seven years ago as a Limudei Kodesh teacher before being promoted to Assistant Principal and then Principal. She majored in Biology at Brooklyn College, with a minor in Secondary Education and also completed a major in Jewish Education at the Women’s Division of Yeshiva B’nei Torah. In addition, she participated in the 2015 YU Lead Program for Jewish Day School Administrators. Mrs. Wolf taught Science and Math in Pittsburgh and New York, before moving to Miami where she found her passion teaching Judaic Studies. In addition to her administrative role, Mrs. Wolf teaches Chumash and Parshat Hashavua to the High School and focuses on curriculum development and renewal. Last year, she initiated an innovative class in Torah and Technology, based on her positive experience participating in the Avi Chai Blended Learning course. This year she is teaching WIJL (Women in Jewish Law), an advanced class for juniors and seniors as well as Chumash to the tenth grade and Parsha to the ninth grade. She is currently working to realign the timeliness and depth of our Judaic curriculum to effectively and efficiently create a higher, more robust level of studies. Working closely with Dr. Brand, Mrs. Wolf assists in supporting the Common Core Curriculum Standards in both Judaic and General Studies. In addition to her teaching and administrative responsibilities, Mrs. Wolf conducts a Brunch and Learn class for Sha’arei Bina mothers and friends, and is a popular speaker in the local South Florida community, including the North Miami Beach Women’s Shabbat Group, Amit, the OU Personal and Professional Enhancement Program for Rebbetzins, local synagogues, and the Young Israel of Hollywood Yom Iyun. Mrs. Wolf teaches the Monday night Women’s Class at the Young Israel of Hollywood and welcomes women of all ages and backgrounds to come and share in the current ongoing analysis of Sefer Bereishit. Mrs. Wolf maintains learning relationships with many former students and she feels privileged to be mentoring daughters of former students here at Sha’arei Bina.
