Rabbi Daniel Wolnerman is originally from Des Moines, Iowa. Rabbi Wolnerman earned his degree in Political Science at the University of Southern California while leading the Trojan Debate Society to regional and national championships receiving many individual speaker awards. After graduating with honors, Rabbi Wolnerman spent six years in Jerusalem studying at Yeshiva Aish HaTorah, earning his rabbinic ordination from Aish HaTorah and Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg of the Jerusalem Rabbinate. Rabbi Wolnerman then founded the Torah Advancement Project, a campus-kiruv organization at the University of Florida where he and his wife worked with the University of Florida Hillel to reach out to the thousands of non-affiliated Jews on campus in Gainesville, Florida. Rabbi Wolnerman ran a similar program at the University of Miami for one year before moving to Canada to work for Aish Toronto. In addition to working with secular university students, Rabbi Wolnerman started teaching Jews of all ages, ranging from 12 year olds preparing for their Bat Mitzvah to community members of their local shul. Rabbi Wolnerman also served as the Director of Jewish Professional Networks where he ran popular professional networks connecting Jews of all backgrounds for educational and professional purposes. Rabbi Wolnerman brings a decade of experience in Jewish education and organizational advancement to Sha’arei Bina, along with a passion and excitement for Judaism that is sure to inspire our talmidot! Rabbi Wolnerman wears many hats at SBTAG, as he is the Mashgiach Ruchani, Director of Institutional Advancement, IT specialist and classroom Rebbe. Rabbi Wolnerman is also in the process of finishing a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.
